Structured Cabling
Netcomm Services specialises in the design and installation of standard-based structured cabling systems. These solutions are available for businesses of all types and sizes, ranging from commercial offices, to data centres and campuses.Netcomm Services experienced engineers can work alongside your team to design, supply, install, manage and support your required structured cabling systems.
Copper Data Cabling:
Netcomm Services can provide your business with a range of high quality copper data cable installation options that comply with regulations and ensure a solid ROI.
Copper cabling is commonly utilised for horizontal connectivity of data and voice solutions, and will support most common communication protocols. The current standard based cabling solutions are Category 5e, Category 6, Category 6A and Category 7 (not EIA/TIA ratified) and Category 7A (not EIA/TIA ratified). Each class of cabling has been ratified to provide a standard of performance over a maximum distance of 100m using a common connector .The solutions are designed to be backward compatible, with a minimum of the lower bandwidth guaranteed. The supported bandwidth varies between 1Gb/p/s to 10Gb/p/s with increasing levels of frequency in each class (100MHz , 1000MHz) for the support of different applications.
Fibre Optic Data Cabling:
Standards based, fibre optic cabling solutions are available in single mode or multimode, and the team works alongside you to understand your requirements in order to ensure that the correct capacity of cabling is installed into your business.
Fibre Optic cabling is generally used for backbone connectivity or for installations that require greater bandwith, when data needs to travel longer distances, or when data travelling through the cable is of a more sensitive nature. Fibre cabling is usually more expensive than its copper equivalent but only when the interfaces, testing and transmission hardware is factored in, as the cable itself is actually very cost effective.
Due to the bespoke approach that every cabling infrastructure project must take, Netcomm Services works alongside their customers to understand the following:
- Business size.
- Building structure/s.
- Cabling and connection product requirements.
- Hardware that will be supported by the structured cabling system.
- Required function of the structured cabling installation.
- Future network scaling and expansion.
